This project reconstructed a former beachfront facility that provides public recreational support to the adjacent state beach in Kings Beach, California. The project included enhancement of passive and active beach recreational uses and a building primarily devoted to visitor orientation and interpretation of the Lake Tahoe Area. The site improvements include rehabilitation of the existing parking area, access to the beach, picnic facilities, and related erosion control and utility site work. Ward-Young provided services as the architectural consultant for design of the project shelter and restroom building.
