As a founder of the firm, Tim has provided leadership in all aspects of the firm’s practice since its inception. In particular his design work helped establish the firm’s reputation for creative design solutions, and this contribution to the firm’s success continues today with his oversight and direct involvement in many of the firm’s projects. Tim’s design and artistic talents, combined with his fun-loving and enthusiastic personality, endear him to clients and staff alike. His roles in the firm include project design leader, staff mentoring and supervision, and business development. Tim has a special talent in artistic sketching of design concepts and preparing illustrations of design solutions, which help clients envision the possibilities in the early stages of design.
Tim manages the firm’s Lafayette studio, as well as being involved with multiple projects in the Lake Tahoe area. Tim has played an active role in both communities, having served on Lafayette’s Planning Commission and the Design Review Commission for many years. He served for a number of years as a professional consultant to the Northstar Design Review Committee. Currently, Tim is designing residential and commercial projects in the East Bay and Tahoe areas.
Tim’s design work has been published in multiple publications including: Interiors, Sunset Magazine, Tahoe World, Tahoe Quarterly, Northstar Style, Builder Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens and Diablo Magazine.
Tim spends his leisure time rebuilding his cabin in Calistoga, and traveling and hiking in Europe with his wife, with his sketch pad or paint brush in hand. Tim contributes his architectural sketches to community groups for use in raising funds for local causes.
