Ward-Young master planned this facility as a central feature for the Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District.  This 22-acre park doubled the sports fields available to the community and includes park support structures, playgrounds, extensive parking and a group function shelter house.  Ward-Young’s services included master planning, architecture, and landscape architecture for the structures, sports fields, landscape architecture and irrigation systems.  The facility was awarded by the California Association of Recreation and Parks Districts as the “Best New Recreation Facility” in the State of California for 2004.
