About

ABOUT

W | Y Architects is an accomplished architectural practice based in the Tahoe Area with a satellite Bay Area studio. Our broad expertise ranges from a focus on high-end custom home design to resort, commercial, and public work.

Rooted in a location surrounded by natural beauty and sharing a keen preference for outdoor fun, we place great emphasis on connecting our projects to the site, and respectfully engaging with the land and community where we work.

We seek to discover and engage new methods of design that address advances in technology, sustainability, and new approaches to design. Our creative endeavors in mountain modern design are widely recognized, and have led to work throughout the western US. With our experience comes a high level of design proficiency and technical knowledge that is inherent in every project, from concept design through completion of construction.

We value engagement with our clients in the process of design, and believe the best results occur when all parties listen and interact to discover the best solutions. The process of designing and building should be fun, and we relish in the experience of collaborating with like-minded and energetic people. We receive no greater recognition than seeing the places we create being enjoyed, shared, and utilized in meaningful ways.
